The Alumni Association seeks to foster and further develop the relationship between the university and its students – current, past, and future – to enthusiastically promote pride, loyalty, and the traditions of Virscend University.
The Alumni Association was founded to share the voice of alumni and help you stay connected to one another and to Virscend University. We’ve evolved as our community has evolved and we’re more excited than ever to continuously connect the tight-knit community that is our Alumni Association.
Jack Liao
Alumni Association President, Class of 2021
Jack Liao received an MBA degree from Virscend University in 2021 and is currently working with Apple Corporation in Honolulu, Hawaii. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Les Roches International School of Hotel Management in Switzerland where he majored in Hospitality Entrepreneurship.
He has planned, managed, and operated over 60 VIP government events/delegations for high officials and heads of states including presidents, prime ministers, royalty, ministers, and ambassadors. With over 9 years of extensive hospitality experience spanning across Portugal, Taiwan, Thailand, China, and the USA.
We know Jack Liao has the drive and ambition to succeed and we are excited to have him accept the role as President of Virscend University’s Alumni Association.
Emily Carroll
Alumni Association President, Class of 2019
Emily Carroll is a newly MBA graduate student from Virscend University. She obtained her undergrad degree from Florida State University where she majored in science. However, after 5 years in the industry she decided to explore entrepreneurship. She always was involved in various business ventures and, exactly a year ago, she began her pursuit of an MBA degree. She is currently working on publishing a book and developing her own business. We know Emily Carroll has the drive and ambition of success and we are excited to have her accept the role as President of Virscend University’s Alumni Association.

I graduated from Cal State Long Beach in 2017 with a degree in Business. The classes I've taken at Virscend have been on par with those classes I took at CSULB with some of the same teachers as well. It is by no means an easy degree, be assured that the classes will make you work to earn your place at the top of the class. This program has also really challenged me to think critically and consume information at a rate I never thought I could have before. Since I started, I've probably finished a book every 2 weeks with many of those simply for pleasure. It's helped me to develop more habits to ensure that I continue learning even after my program ended.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Art from UCI.I entered the corporate world, working in the medical and software industries, but I know that in order to excel in my fields I needed more to move up the corporate ladder. I wanted to walk in to any corporate office with the confidence that I am qualified to sit at the coveted leadership table.
I chose Virscend University to attain my Master's Degree because it offers small intimate classes, the highest quality of education, and a fun learning environment. Students do not have to wait in line for one on one time with any of the professors, who are all from prestigious universities and leader in their respective fields.

I work primarily in project management, Virscend University has provided many opportunities for me to work on team projects and hone my organizational management skills. At Virscend, your peers are in different industries, which give you the opportunity to see the needs of other companies and industries and how they tackle their own business concerns. By mingling with others in different industries, Virscend opens networking opportunities and provides many chances to become comfortable speaking in front of diverse groups. Virscend offers a flexible program where I can apply my previous experience to hypotheticals that arise in the learning.
